Undergraduate Student Scholarship Application

   

The Tulsa Chapter of AFWA recognizes the needs of students with special experiences and challenges to overcome.  We will provide sponsorships up to $3,000 for those who qualify as a result of persistence and high performance that predicts future success, based upon needs and qualifications as described in the application and essay.  Scholarship candidates will be reviewed on leadership, character, communication skills, scholastic average and financial needSpecial priority will be given to women, single parents and students working part- time while attending college full-time.  Additionally, special priority will be given to students who have some break in his/her academic career due to unforeseen life circumstances and/or experienced unique personal and academic challenges, as described in an essay.

 

Criteria for application include:

 By the time of the application deadline, student must be enrolled at an accredited college or university and must have 1) completed 60 semester hours with a major in accounting or finance if attending a four-year university, or 2) completed 30 semester hours with a specialty in accounting or finance if attending a two-year university.

Student must have earned a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale or the equivalent. An official transcript(s) must be included. Scholarship must be applied to the Fall 2020 school semester or recipient forfeits scholarship.
